Wow! 5th degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! I am so humbled, honored and proud of this achievement. What a ride this has been. I am very grateful for the beautiful life that Jiu-Jitsu has given me. When I stepped on the mat for the first time, over 25 years ago, I was looking for an experience that Jiu-Jitsu could give me (I had practice Judo a few months before) and since that day I have never stopped training, learning and trying to improve not only my game but absorbing this wonderful art to pass on knowledge to my students.

I want to thank my students, teammates and affiliates for coming to the seminar and participating on this special day.

Also, huge congratulations to my friend and student Anton Gotsmanov @antonjitsu on his second degree in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and Diego Ramos @diegomirvet on his 4th degree! 👏🏽👏🏽

Thank you to my Master Sazinho Sá @sazinho_sa_sasteam You taught me so much on the mats and it was with you that I created the entire base of my Jiu-Jitsu, from white to black belt 🙌🏽

Lastly, I would like to thank professors Guybson @guybson_sa and Robson Sá @robinhosa for receiving the recognition of my 5th degree black belt in Jiu-Jitsu from their hands and for all their support over the years.

So last night we graduated our student, Aka @akalandschoot to a new belt rank! Congratulations on moving up and earning a new Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu belt 👏🏽🎉🆙
And we can say, what a year! Aka won the first place🥇 at the 2023 Pan American Championship after 4 matches without any points scored on him and recently a second place at the 2023 World Master Championship losing only for 1 advantage. He was very close to achieving the goal of winning two big championships in one year in the same belt rank. Still very proud of him and all his achievements, also his continued support with the team means a lot to us! Well deserved Aka, purple looks good on you!!🥋

👉🏽 Robson Sá is the the main professor at the SAS TEAM HQ in Fortaleza-Brazil and Guybson Sá is the main professor and owner of Spartan Academy Mixed Martial Arts located in South Carolina. They are children of the Grandmaster Francisco Sá.

👉🏽Master Francisco Viera Sá is the pioneer of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu of the state of Ceará-Brazil and one of the rare people to have acquired honor that is Red Belt, the highest rank in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It takes approximately 40 years of training after being awarded a black belt to gain this honor. Master Sá was a Black Belt for 54 years in 2013, having received his Black Belt in 1959 from Professor Nilo Weber Veloso and recognized by the Pernambuco Jiu Jitsu Federation.

I did 3 matches winning the first two ones and lost my third by referee decision to my opponent who won the entire division. Back to the academy to recreate and readjust the game.
