Our recent belt test represented far more than a single day, it reflected six months of growth, effort, and dedication following the SAS Team model. Every roll, open mat, question, extra session, and private lesson plays a role in building your Jiu-Jitsu and shaping your journey.

One day, you’ll look back and feel proud of what you’ve accomplished. Keep showing up, keep learning, and keep grinding. Your success is a team effort, and the work you put in today will pay off tomorrow.

I’m incredibly proud of everyone who participated. Our next belt test is planned for June 2026 (date TBD). Until then, keep building your legacy on the mat. 💪🏽🔥🫡🚀❤️

It is with great honor that we present our newest Black Belt, Mr. Tomislav Peric. @peric_pr

Mr. Tom, it is truly privilege to share the mats with you, to teach you, and—most importantly—to learn from you. Your love for Jiu-Jitsu, your wisdom, your discipline, and your perseverance inspire us. You show us daily what commitment, humility, and passion truly look like.

In one week, Mr. Tom turns 75 years old. He shows up early, greets everyone with a beautiful smile, asks questions, supports his teammates, and of course… dominates the pull-up bar 👑💪🏽(yes, the undisputed king of pull-ups!).

Your journey reminds us that Jiu-Jitsu has no age limit. Whether you’re 3 years old stepping on the mat for the first time or 75 years old receiving a black belt, the journey is the same: learning, sweating, growing, celebrating, crying, and cheering for one another.

This is the true beauty of our sport.

Mr. Tom, we respect you deeply, we love you, and we are beyond proud of you. Congratulations on this incredible achievement—you are a true inspiration to us all. 🥋🖤

🇧🇷 É com grande honra que apresentamos nosso mais novo faixa-preta, o Sr. Tom Perick.

Sr. Tom, é um verdadeiro privilegio compartilhar os tatames com o senhor, ensiná-lo e, o mais importante, aprender com o senhor. Seu amor pelo Jiu-Jitsu, sua sabedoria, sua disciplina e sua perseverança nos inspiram. O senhor nos mostra diariamente o que significam compromisso, humildade e paixão.

Em uma semana, o Sr. Tom completa 75 anos. Ele chega cedo, cumprimenta a todos com um belo sorriso, faz perguntas, apoia seus colegas de treino e, claro... domina a barra de flexões 👑💪🏽 (sim, o rei indiscutível das flexões!).

Sua jornada nos lembra que o Jiu-Jitsu não tem limite de idade. Seja você uma criança de 3 anos pisando no tatame pela primeira vez ou um senhor de 75 anos recebendo a faixa preta, a jornada é a mesma: aprender, suar, crescer, celebrar, chorar e torcer uns pelos outros.

We saw solid technique, great demonstrations from our kids program, and real improvement over the last six months.

Belt tests are special moments to show not only technique, but also heart, effort, and growth.
